Have you read any of her other books? Because if not then yes, this one would be very confusing. As for evil, Carlson does write about conquering evil (as does the Bible) which is uncomfortable for many of today's Christians to read. It's not for anyone, I just wanted to mention that about how it might be confusing if you've not read the books before this.
I felt the same. I only read a few pages and felt bored as well as like I just entered into a pagan universe.
Dottie, no, I haven’t. I think it was also the writing style that just wasn’t for me. I have no problems with books about conquering evil…in my opinion, this was just so heavily focused on evil and there wasn’t any light as far as I got.
