Brooke Winmill Thank you for reading and reviewing The Secret Heir of Lachsford. I appreciate your kind comments about the setting and premise.

I do think much of this comes down to stylistic preference. The more formal dialogue and touches of dialect were intentional choices to reflect the historical setting and Scottish atmosphere, and the slower pace was meant to create an immersive, relationship-centered story.

While that style may not work for every reader, it was very much by design. I still appreciate you reading.
