Dang! No character growth fr? 😬 I was banking on the world expansion giving us something! If you’re interested in character-growth or character-driven narratives, My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer have been great! MHA is AMAZING specifically for growth not just for the MC but like 30 named characters and they ALL get their chance in the sun. DS isn’t all about character-growth per se, but the characters are so good (especially the MC, Tanjiro, he is the kindest soul to exist) and the story is great!

Anyways, I know this comment isn’t all to do with SL but I had to take a sec to recommend PEAK anime 😂

It was a little disappointing not gonna lie haha ill have to check those out! Im always looking for good recs now that I’m in this world😂🫠

For sure! You might also want to check out Frieren. Fun fact, SL beat Frieren a year or two ago for “anime of the year” and while everyone is entitled to their opinion and I do still like SL for what it is, I don’t personally think it should have beat Frieren. Ultimately, this anime is all about the growth of the MC and it’s a very unique story as she is over a thousand years old learning to appreciate those around her despite the brevity of their lives. It’s also calm and slower paced with occasional action!
