I am a 2008 UConn grad (PhD Oceanography) - and after a career in research science, I landed at the USPTO. I examined patents (TC 1600 - Biotechnology) for almost 15 years, before retiring to sail around the world. Meanwhile I wrote a book for Intellectual Property attorneys to help improve communication with the USPTO.
Someday I would love to come present "Confessions of a Patent Examiner": Leveraging Insider Information to Navigate a Path from Application to Allowance" to the UConn Law community.
