You said “reading it the second time I found I could predict more of the story than you ought to be able to” but is that not because it’s your second time reading it?
It could be, but it's been 15 years since I read it last time. I don't think I'm remembering.
if you were to leave a review about this book imagining that it was the 80's, where the story played out in a not so contemporarily cliched' way, would you give it 4 or 5 stars, in this perspective?
