My god these books you read. I can say 1000% out of everyone in my feed you are reading the truly out there books. I know you said it's mostly because of this subreddit you're in. But I feel like it would do my head in to keep reading stuff like this over and over. I'm thinking of this one and Bunny

Hahahaha!! I kinda love that 😂 I didn't even find this one on the subreddit, I just saw the cover on NetGalley and thought "yes please". I am getting kinda tired of the constant commentary, satire, metaphors, symbolisms, and so on, not gonna lie. Not because I don't like them, it's just a lot for the brain when it's all you read 😂 gotta read some silly romances or something

I love it when a book actually stops and makes you look something up. I had no idea about 9% of plastic factoid you dropped! 🤯 In my case, it's oftentimes just the definition of a word, lmao! 😂 You really do read some crazy books, Gabbie! I never know what kind of story your reviews are gonna be about! 🤭
you always manage to find the weirdest books of the weird girl genre thats for sure 😂 amazing review!

I learned so much in this book! All these facts that are turned into plot points and stuff, it was really clever. I thought I was doing something good by recycling, and it turns out it doesn't even matter!! And omg the struggle of having to look up words 😔 I'm reading The Buffalo Hunter Hunter and I've never googled this much in my life. Hahahah thank you lovely!! 🫶🏻🩵

"Thought-provoking brain rot" you're right, I genuinely didn't think I would ever see these words together xD Wow it sounds like an absolute mindfuck while offering pretty important commentary. Stories like this one always make me feel glad I'm not caught in this social media trap because it must be so damn easy to fall into it while you don't even notice 😬 What a ride! And what a review ❤️ Happy to see another five-star read, gabbie!

That's basically how Breigh talks 😂😂 except she uses words like “velvet-blazer clean-girl moonwater startup-witch euro summer pistachio matcha soft-launch oracle dustbag blue-aura wellness-core divine-coded little-treat energy” about the products she unboxes hhahahahaa (who has time for commas when you gotta use all the buzzwords?)

It's seriously the best way to describe this book 😂😂 like on the surface it's all "Oh em gee. Fire. On fleek. I'm deceased. Bury me with it." but there's some serious shit going on beneath that! And yea it's crazy to watch her become more and less lucid as the story progresses, like she almost gets it sometimes, and then she manages to fall deeper into it, and it's all just this endless cycle of self hatred 😭 it must be so miserable to basically live as a product. Thank you loveliest 🩵

It's a color, obviously!! 🙂↕️
First of all, I love the quote. The sapphic spicy romantasy with a morally gray shadow daddy is killing me even though I love this genre 😂 and I suppose it was only a matter of time before someone did a satire on momfluencers with a live birth scenario. It sounds like this story took a deep look at the emptiness that can be present in the gap between reality and the false perfection that some influencers feel like they have to present. I always love reading something that makes me question my own habits! Incredible review lovely 💗💗

Breigh was on stream just rambling buzzwords, so I was like ok, I gotta write down every book buzzword I can think of if I want to sound like her 😂 That's definitely what the book did! And how skewed our perceptions are of what people expect from us. I think it's true for both influencers and everyone else that people feel like they need to be perfect, and that's rarely the case. We don't expect perfection from anyone around us, but we still think people want it from us 🤔 definitely a book that made me think a lot, despite the brain rot on the surface 😂 thank you angel 🩵

Yesss, so happy for you! 💚
That first segment alone was enough to convince me to request this ARC as well 👏 Also, the multiple contradictions? Seems complex and thought-provoking, and I'm here for it.
This sounds like the right amount of what-the-fuckery and social commentary. Also, "only 9% of the world’s plastic is actually recycled, what??" wtf 😭
Lovely review, Gabbie! 💚
Took me a second to read this review BUT what the actual hell? What a ride … now, I have never heard of a book like this before. 😂. Sounds chaotic but in a best way. I am not sure if this would be for me but this review definitely is great 👌🤩🤩
She laments 'the worlds plastic waste',...
There's not much we can do about 'the world',
we can only handle what we can control
The point is,... what's the US's percentage of plastic recycling?
That is more pertinent because it's something WE can control
China, Indonesia, and the Orient are going to have to take care of themselves
(based on what i've read, they are the worst offenders.)

Yay!! I am crossing my fingers that you get approved so I can read your review 🤞🏻🙂↕️ I really think this book is quite genius. There's so much under the vapid surface. When I read that part about the plastic, I was like "surely not??" but nope, it's unfortunately true. IT'S ALL A SHAM!! I can't believe it!!
Thank you so much 🩵

The point isn't really about which country recycles more, or about putting blame on any country or individual. The book is about consumerism. Even if every single person on earth recycled to the best of their ability, the corporations receiving the plastic still aren't being honest about what happens to it. Many facilities apply a 5% contamination rule: if a batch contains more than 5% contaminated material, the whole thing goes to landfill. Different plastics also can't be processed together. So no matter what we do individually, the system is designed to fail us while making us feel responsible for it. That's the whole point, and I think you'd be doing the book a disservice if you make it into some kind of blame game between countries
The influencer chronicles continue 😋 you made this sound really good and I’m glad to see you got a 5 star hit from it! 🩷

I've heard that, but didn't get any details,... "If the label is still on it, they won't consider it viable, it's exempt."
It's amazing what gets left out when you go to chase down facts.
