That is a great question Karen - so I looked up on my AI what a palate cleanser is as far as books go. Well it seems a change of genre, or a short story can be a palate cleanser - however, something emotionally challenging, dense or heavy isn't considered one. So you're right - perhaps this one wasn't a palate cleanser because it did scare the crap out of me 😬😂😂😂😂. Thanks again Karen 🤗🎈
