Happy reading, Liana! :)
Glad that it’s proving good so far into your read! Hopefully, it stays enjoyable until the end, luv 🫶
This is such a strong first impression—I love how clearly you’ve captured the emotional core already, even at 30%. The way you describe both sisters makes their struggles feel really distinct but still connected, which makes me even more curious about how their relationship unfolds. Definitely excited to see your full review because if this is your take at 30%, I already know the final thoughts are going to hit even harder.

Thank you Kristina! Oops I actually finished the audiobook but forgot to update my review portion! will post the full review this week. I really enjoyed reading about the sisters struggles. One of the sisters has a neurodivergent/autistic child and I related to that sister so well!! The other was a struggling alcoholic and I felt her grief, pain and the indecisiveness she had around her struggles, friendships and the next steps in life.

For a sisterhood story it was amazing.. lots of concepts explored & well done. I need to read her debut.

Very solid story, great audiobook. Lately I've been into audiobooks & enjoying the general/women fiction stories a lot more when I listen to them vs read them.

This was REALLY good. its more of 'the weight of being a woman, a mother and a wife'

Going to post my review tonight, it's really good.
Enjoyed your review Liana. This sounds like it could be a good one for our virtual book club as we read a lot of contemporary and some literary fiction.
Enjoy your reading!
So happy you found healing and a character you really connected with in this story! Lovely review Liana 💗

Thanks Gabriela! Meres character made me feel a lot of emotions. It's a great book tbh. A gem in the literary/women's fiction world.

Thank you Julie! Amazing book for book clubs!
Thank you for your thoughtful review of my novel! I am deeply moved by your connection to the story. I do hope you listen to my debut Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea if you haven't already. Mia Hutchinson-Shaw the voice of Frankie also narrates my protagonist. Thank you again!

Thank you so much Jessica! And thank you for reading my review of your wonderful novel, it always means a-lot to me when the author connects with her readers. Truly, thank you! I have your debut on my kindle & will certainly either read or listen to it. Hutchinson-Shaw did a wonderful job as Frankie. I'm looking forward to another deeply heartfelt story once more. :)
