Those are some of my favorite parts of the story to create. You are absolutely right about the editing and POV issues. I’m already working on improving many of those areas for an updated version of Book 1, as well as carrying those lessons forward into Book 2. Tightening POV consistency, smoothing transitions, and polishing the editing process are all major focuses for me moving ahead.
