Primrosebarks Good review. I am among the readers who gave up in Fallujah. Found the introduction of a new character more than halfway through the book more of a lifeline to the writer than an enrichment of the plo t. Poor Billy Summers, I liked him very much, but he was abandoned by his creator halfway through the book.

Kellie Mcdonald I was actually saying I was going to give up on it because I couldn’t see what could possibly happen to make it more interesting…and the next chapter I read Alice arrived. I stuck around for the end but wasn’t thrilled about it.

Aimee Prentice Oh geez I didn’t even catch the hotel reference. Maybe because I’ve only ever seen snatches of the movie and never read the book.

Ryan Cooper Also thought the ending was very creative, but yeah- lots of plodding along the way to get there. The first 3/4 of the book is super linear- no twists or surprises… it just felt like someone dictating action. Glad there was some payoff in the end though.

Leah I got stuck for THREE WEEKS reading this book. Little did I know I was only a few pages before Alice came in. Still not that great though.

Tina M. Warada I LIKED it...I liked the characters, I like the ease of writing/reading, but exactly what you said--Lots to love; lots to meh. It was like 2 okay stories that couldn't stand on their own, so they became one. I didn't hate it, but meh...

Justin Tate I feel you, Tina! I have met folks who LOVE this book but very forgettable for me.
