D.M. Andrews (author) Andrews The link shows an image of 4 book covers for a history-heavy gritty historical fantasy. Think 'The Last Kingdom' meets 'The Witcher'.

I have had a lot of widely differing opinions about which is best, which most accurately represents the subgenre.

Please let me know your thoughts.

I have labelled them 1-4 for convenience.

Jan Mc Covers 1 and 2 are not eye-catching or sharp. The title fonts are hazy, the kerning is terrible, and they will not appear well at small sizes.

Covers 3 and 4 are better for visibility, although the title font should be darker for more contrast with the background.

Beware white (or light-colored) covers without a strong border; they disappear on websites.
