“Two toxic gay dads that saw her as a pet and a project” is such a brutal but perfect way to put it. I also love what you said about Louis being frustrating because he exposes the hypocrite in us too. He whines, judges, mourns, moralizes, and still keeps making terrible choices—which is honestly what makes him so painfully interesting to read.
