Did you read the P&V translation? I'm just starting the Katz translation.
Constance Garnett, in fact. Are there substantive differences in the translations of which I should take note? I’ll likely read it again before long.
I did some research on the various translations before I selected mine, and what I basically found was that, to put it in terms we can relate to, Garnett is like the KJV (beautiful and faithful, but more challenging to read), P&V is like the NASB (easier to read, but a little wooden), and Katz is like the NIV (easiest to read, modern and faithful, but more of a dynamic equivalent than a word-for-word).
