For me also.
For many of my AS & A Level and IBDP (basically 11th and 12th grade) students, also - so I rarely recommend this novel or the movie to them. I hope we all find healing soon. Lovely choice nevertheless dear Renee! I have an ex-student called Renee and she is my pride and my joy. She is now 20 years old and wants to take up a career as a singer in a band and at gymkhanas in Mumbai and Goa. And she is a voracious reader like her teacher (me!). She too was very deeply triggered by this novel and so avoided watching the movie of the same. I think all Renee's are amazing people - and great readers!
