Maybe a little repetitiveness might not be so bad, considering the target audience. And it’s a very important topic. One wishes to shield the little ones from grief as much as possible, but it’s a part of life we all face one day. May as well teach them how to deal with it properly before they have to deal with it. And good that the adult caregivers get some tips too. Great review, Rosh.
I remember explaining death to my four year old for the first time, it was a pet. I love the statement "someone I loved died." Wonderful review, Rosh. 🤗💕
This one sounds like it has such a beautiful core. Loved reading your honest thoughts. Beautiful review Rosh. ♥
Nice review, Rosh. An important topic and one that is difficult for children to wrap their emotions around. Every little bit helps, I'm sure.
Rosh...With little ones, repetition is good in this case since questions to a caregiver or parent are often repeated. The range of emotions experienced is important to note as well. Thank you for a compassionate review!🤗🥰
Lovely thoughtful analysis review Rosh. I love seeing books on this subject for kids to read with parents or teachers. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. ❤️🩹
That's a good book! Keeping it open definitely gives it a wider audience. Sadly, we cannot shield kids from grief, so having books that discuss it properly can help adults and kids. Lovely review, Rosh. 💝
I am seeing your review after so many days, Rosh! And such a good review too! Thanks for this. Sometimes, I feel I need such counselling when I talk with my child.
Thanks so much for your kind comments, everyone! 💖 Such topics are very important for children and it's great that such books exist these days. The note aimed at adults is a helpful addition.
@Thibault and @Fran: I agree about the repetitiveness; it does help reinforce the idea. But somehow, it doesn't seem to come at the right places in this book. Good repetition feels natural. I wish I could explain it better.
I'm glad there are many books on such topics these days. Children need to be sheltered from hard truths, but sometimes, life doesn't allow us that luxury.
@Shelley: Oh my, that must have been tough! So young to face a pet's death! 😢
@Nisha: I've not been active for almost 20 days. Catching up like crazy now! 😅
And you are right, we adults also need counselling while talking about such topics with our kids.
