Sounds really interesting Rosh even it if was missing some elements . Great review! 💜
I can see why her getting away with lying so much and getting away with it might not be a right fit for middle grade. I would have thought that visualizing the monster would be easy. Though that might just be the cover setting certain expectations. Shame some of the themes felt a bit lost in the clutter. Good review, Rosh.
I'm sorry this almost was a fifty/fifty book for you. It does sound like a fun book to read at least once.
I thought this was humor! That's a lot of made-up stuff to track in a single book. Seems like it had good bones, but the execution needed more work. Terrific review, Rosh. 💝

Thanks much, Rachel and Darla! 🤍
It was really creative. All it needed was a bit more fine-tuning in editing and in planning the target audience correctly.

It's a tricky thread to include for this age group. We never know how children (mis)interpret such actions.
Oh, none of the characters on the cover are the monster, Thibault. I wouldn't have struggled otherwise! 😅 The dragon is among the good ones.
Thank you.

Oh yes, it has its good points for sure, Kealyn! One solid edit ought to help a lot.

Right? I really thought I'd be reading a comic adventure. 🫠
The madeup stuff was very challenging. All those names were so complicated to track! 😬
I hope the author can find a strict editor for this because the plot has great potential.
Thanks, Sri! 💖
