I think he’s a good writer but always had to throw some communist propaganda in. The first 150 pages or so are good. The jungle was good until the end too.
Dead post but the commenter who called this “communist propaganda” is spilling ink on such a gross oversimplification of this book that he committed a literary crime.
Still wish he would’ve drank someone’s milkshake in the book
This book should be required reading in business schools. Communist propaganda my a$$, I think Sinclair presents a visceral and convincing argument about human nature and why capitalism needs to be fenced in.

Nonsense: it was about exploitation and political corruption: communism was simply one thread of the response by the exploited in this context and to similar situations in Europe.
