Hi, I typically don’t read or respond to reviews as I understand they are for readers. I only want to gently note that this book is a retitle/recover of my first novel from 2013, Surrender to You. I’m not sure why it wasn’t connected here on Goodreads as a new version of that title. The story was based on something that happened to me, and I reacted very similarly to Elizabeth. I understand it wasn’t the book for you, but the events you described as unrealistic are actually drawn from my real life. I’ve definitely come a long way in my writing since 2013 and can agree some of the story is quite immature and awkward, just like me. Thanks!
