Happy reading Yun. ♥
Every review I read makes it clear that Macy is very conveniently oblivious in this book 😂 I really like the premise, but it sounds very convenient that she keeps missing all the red flags and messing up every task hahaha. What a shame that it doesn’t wrap up properly either. Great review Yun, I appreciate your warning about the ending 💌
Thank you for your thoughtful review Yun. I am not into horror books or flicks, either, so I definitely know I will pass on this one! ☺️
Good thorough review. Unfortunately the only thing that interested me in your description was the rabbit but is one rabbit worth an entire read? 🐰 I think not. Thanks, Yun! 💚

Thanks, gabbie! Yes, poor Macy! She tries so hard, but she can't get anything right. For sure this story only works because of Macy's cluelessness. 😂😂

Thanks, Dianne! ❤️ There were two 🐰🐰, I think? But your logic still stands haha!

Thanks, TL! That's fair. It's good to know what you enjoy and not. :)
A veryyy sweet and thoughtful review !!! even without reading his books i still found myself agreeing with so many things you said ... like if you’re gonna spend all that time building something up don’t get so caught up trying to make it look deep and impressive that you completely lose the actual point of the story and leave us with nothing at the end ughhhhhh bc i swear that type of thing would piss me offfff so bad !!!!!!!!! i really hope your next read treats you betteeeeeeeer tho ^_^
A thoughtful and helpful review, Yun. This does not sound like my type of horror. There is such a broad range!
Wonderful and fair review, Yun! I bought this one last week after seeing several friends give it pretty good reviews… and then realized I read his last book (We Used to Live Here) and didn’t really enjoy it. I already bought this one now, so I plan to read it. I am afraid I won’t love it either though. This will probably be my last book by this author unless I somehow end up loving it. Hoping your next read is better! ☺️🤞🏻

Thanks, Emna! ❤️ Right? I can't stand not knowing anything at the end. Like what is all that buildup for lol?

Thanks, Kate! I hear you. For me, his two books are very similar in style though I did enjoy this one a smidge more. But yeah, same complaints. So hopefully, even if you don't totally love this one, you'll end up enjoying it a bit more than his debut.
Nice review Yun and very helpful! I've seen some mixed reviews for this one, and I didn't finish this author's previous book, but I might give this one a chance!
Great review, Yun. I appreciate you sharing your reading experience, especially when the genre isn’t one you prefer or read. I would say this one is a very solid book based on your rating and review.
Lovely review Yun! Totally fair and it's true that horror is so so diverse, and so are opinions :) curiously, your review peaked my interest in this book even more ahah
I am like you when it comes to horror movies, and I have refused to watch one for years 😅 but this genre in books is so diverse in its subcategories that I’ve found some books I like, so I’m really curious. I appreciate your perspective Yun, it doesn’t sound like a great story to leave open ended. Lovely review 🖤

Thanks, Gabriela! ❤️ I definitely wish more things were explained. The lack of closure to his books is a real bummer haha.
Great review Yun, I appreciate how detailed this was. Maybe I'll push this one to the bottom of my list.♡
You’ve explained this author perfectly! A compulsive read but then a buildup to nowhere. And yet, I guarantee you I will still pick up his third book. Fantastic review!
You summed it up perfectly Yun! I did muddle through this book to the somewhat deflating end and eh, okay, well folks, that’s the end. At least the ending here was better than the confusing one from Kliewer’s first book but honestly, I’m done with this author.
