Factfulness: Ten Reasons We're Wrong About the World – and Why Things Are Better Than You Think was a much needed ray of light in the gloomy world today & I'd love to discuss it with others. I'm a little hesitant about recommending it because the delivery wasn't that good, but the information was excellent. I gave it a 4 star review here:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I’m Roman Kartashevsky, author of Crawling Out of Hell. A raw memoir about clawing out of poverty, fear, and low self-esteem through sport, hard lessons, and my wife’s support, then building a new life with simple, repeatable rules. If you want grit plus practical takeaways, I’d value your questions and feedback.Crawling Out of Hell: A Raw Story and Real Advice to Change Your Life
STOP, POLICE!: A UK police officer’s true crime memoir of policing the thin blue line in the 1990s, ending in survival and the fight to recover after brain surgeryI hope this is ok to post here Mike?I recently published my memoir, Stop, Police! It starts with my teenage years dancing a fine line with criminality, to travelling across America, to becoming a police officer. A large part of the book, is a selection of true crime stories and what it is really like to police a large city.
The book ends with me collapsing with a brain hemorrhage and having to undergo life saving brain surgery. Written with positivity and humour, I hope you enjoy!
💙The eBook version on Amazon will be on special offer of 0.99p/c between the 13th and 19th June 2026. Also free on KU.
