Remove Book from my Author Account > Likes and Comments

Hi,

I decided to unpublish this before it released. I would like it disconnected from my author account. I was told this was not possible because it would confuse readers but the opposite has proved true.

People reach out to me, confused, because they cannot find this book for sale anywhere or on my social accounts. I then have to explain to them that it was unpublished.

I understand that you do not remove books from the database, and this is fine, but I would like the book to not show up when readers view my profile.

By unpublish, do you mean the book was *never* published, or that it was published and subsequently withdrawn? Your post seems to indicate both.

It has nothing to do with confusing readers, it's because we simply don't remove published books.

Looks like the comment you're referring to says readers would be confused if they had read the book and then it was associated with a different author. So I see what you meant now.

I have updated the description to show that it is no longer for sale/out of print.

If you have a second/new edition of the book, like I said on your other thread, you can make that the default edition and most people wouldn't see the previous ones.
