Many thanks! I've just ordered a copy of Damian's Saint Severina's Fire, which I'm really looking forward to reading.
Mark Valentine is so prolific, it's hard to choose. If you haven't read his Connoisseur stories, I can't recommend The Collected Connoisseur strongly enough. I also loved The Nightfarers, but part of that might be because it was the first truly expensive edition I ever purchased before I became addicted to buying books that are well above my pay-grade.
Thanks for your generous answer, Forrest! I did read The Collected Connoisseur and it secured a spot for the writer in my towering Weird fiction-tbr shelf! Curious to know your appreciation of Saint Severina's Father!
It looks like Tartarus has a paperback of The Nightfarers - definitely worth your while!

Damian's book just arrived in the mail today. I'm going to save it so I can savor it later. I want to get at least halfway through my (re)read of Moby Dick before I put another book on the currently reading stack.

So far I have read The Star of Gnosia, The Nightfarers and The Collected Connoisseur, and a copy of Haunted By Books is waiting on the coffee table. I also enjoyed reading The Traitor and The NarratorMichael Cisco, partly inspired by your enthusiastic reviews!...
