I agree. It felt a little like a hallmark movie. And the characters were rather flat. Overly sweet. It was beautiful prose. But shallow. It was lacking the contrast to make the good stand out from the not so good. It felt artificial. It did help me remember to look for the beauty in life. And to be kind.
