Love this review! I can’t stop thinking about this book. I miss it and Cyril, and so thrilled it won the big one.
I've been wanting to read this ever since seeing your review, and now I finally have, and boy - you nailed it. GRUESOME and beautiful. I suppose like an angel who appears and realizes the first thing they need to say is "Be not afraid" because they are, indeed, terrifying.
"Awesome" in the traditional sense!
