message 1: by Lynden (new)

Lynden Wade Galahad's father was Dierdre's grandmother's half brother. That's distant cousins. And Dierdre isn't privileged. She is bullied at school to the point she's almost killed, she suffers deep emotional abuse from her grandma all her life and at the start of the book she's living alone in an unheated house and with no food. Being emotionally starved all her life, with Gal the only friend she's ever had, of course his love is going to be important to her!
