I really appreciate your thoughts on this book. It is one that I have been wanting to read, but I also know that it is responding to a lot of philosophy that preceded it. I was worried that I wouldn't know enough about what Nietzsche was responding to in order to understand his contribution. I might still think that, but reviews like yours help!
If you haven't read The Genealogy of Morals -- in which he contrasts the good vs. bad dichotomy with the good vs. evil one -- it makes more sense in the context of that.
Thanks, Kevin, for the recommendation. This is the only Nietzsche I have read. I find it difficult to read him, but I'll try the book when I have more free time/mind.
