My book is assigned to another author > Likes and Comments

I added the book but when I created my author request there was already a "Brian Moyer" so I used my middle initial (which I don't normally use). My book was showing on my author page but now it is assigned to the "other" Brian Moyer. My Goodreads account has always been "Brian Moyer" but the author is "Brian G. Moyer" which I would love to change. On Amazon, NetGalley, ACX and the book itself my name is just "Brian Moyer".

I've also updated the cover which is on Amazon for pre-order with launch on 7/1/26, ASIN is B0H1Z8FS8H.

Any updates or mechanism to fix this? My book launches in a few weeks and everywhere except Goodreads is setup properly. I can "add" my book again but that seems like it will just duplicate, I just need it connected to my Author account. Thanks you.

Changing either your name or your book's author name will remove it from your account. I have assigned the book to a different profile.

Write to Support and tell them you need them to assign you to "the two-space profile" for your name and you no longer wish to use your middle initial.

Goodreads uses spaces between first and last names to differentiate among authors with the same name. Librarians cannot access your profile.

Staff will also need to be the ones to update your book's cover. Since they created the book, we don't have access to change it.
