Oh my — I've been checking for your review for WEEKS. I was genuinely starting to worry you'd given up on me and the Scaligers! You have no idea how much this means. Every single time I see someone connect with these characters the way you do — calling Emile "my son," wanting to shake some sense into Mark, stressing over Sebastian — it reminds me why I spent two years of my life in this world instead of sleeping like a normal human being.
The fact that you trusted me with the three-to-four-book change and that it actually worked for you? That's everything. That was the scariest decision I've ever made as a writer and I second-guessed it approximately seven hundred times.
Your comment about Beatrice — "no girlbossification, she's still Beatrice" — I need to frame that on my wall. That is EXACTLY what I was going for. Thank you for seeing it. 🙏
Now. Good news. I nearly burned out — like, NEARLY — but Book 4 is done. Finished. Written. The final book comes out July 30th, as planned. 🎉
Your favorites may or may not survive. I am saying nothing. Prepare yourself. 💀
