Wow, Adina, I hadn't known the author was 70 when he started writing! There's still hope for me then.:) I do know of other such examples, but it's always good to see a new one.

He passed away this spring and his last book includes a farewell to his readers. It came out right around the time he died. What a wonderful man he seemed to be. He was a schoolmaster before becoming an author and lived on an Irish isle with his wife if I’m remembering correctly.
So sad to hear of his passing. I LOVED Flavia de Luce. Such an amazing character. Mr. Bradley really nailed the voice of an eleven-year-old!
