I’m trying to find something similar to agggtm, the naturals, or even thieves gambit, preferably no spice but I’m desperate for recs

karen mc manus also writes ya mystery and also has subplot romance!! she’s not my favorite writer but i’ve enjoyed the ones i have read of hers enough to read multiple😸
might be a basic answer, but i really like the a good girls guide to murder series!! it was definitely a 5 star read 😚

THISSSS is the genre I love. Like, I want to be scared and intrigued without being distracted by the romance part. Romance as background noise haha. I'm currently reading "The Locked Door" - Freida McFadden, which fits this genre perfectly. The romance is there but not distracting or explicit and does not detract from the main plot. Huge fan so far. I'm a little more than halfway done. Following for recs <3
