I hope you enjoy it too Ann!
Terrific review . She’s one of my favorite writers. I’m jealous! Requested but gave not gotten an approval or denial yet. I’ll definitely read it , though.
Karen,
You never disappoint with the Irish lit in March! You always put something new on my radar, and this one has a gorgeous cover, too!

Thank you Angela.. Knopf happens to be the only publisher that I have auto approval with, and they have had some really great reads lately 😊

Julie, thank you, I am all about Irish lit … it does have a gorgeous cover!
A really fine review, Karen. After recently reading O'Farrell for the first time, I'd like to try more.
I love seeing all these stars, Karen!! Such a great review. Now all of us other readers will have to wait for its release!!!

Yes, Nancy… start with Hamnet!😊

Thank you Jen!
Sounds good, and O’Farrell can do no wrong. BUT I’m a little worried about the ghosts. Has she gone off the deep end? Of course I’ll read it, no matter what. NetGalley gave me neither a nay or an aye, and that usually means nay, damn, so I’ll just have to wait, Wonderful review, Karen!
Debbie, she hasn’t gone off the deep end … a couple times there were “spiritual connections” that’s all and a bit of magical realism.. nothing crazy!
I cannot wait to read this, Maggie O’Farrell is one of my favorite authors. She’s got the best characters and such an incredible talent. She’s an enviable wordsmith and creatively brilliant.

WHAT??? How did I miss this review? I'm so jealous! A happy jealous. 😄 You're my first GR friend to read this...do I say this in all of my comments to you? I've only read three of O'Farrell's works, but all three are 5-stars and two of them are on my GR Favorites shelf. I want to read all of her books eventually. Another enticing review, Karen!

Thank you K💕
Karen, I think the history of the Irish and the climate/atmosphere as well as their history of oral storytelling give rise to the lyrical melancholy that underlies the majority of Irish authors I have read and loved. I am continually drawn to their stories, as it seems you are.
