Great review Sherril. I see a lot of good reviews for this book. It looks like this Southern story resonates with a lot of people :)

Thank you. I actually wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I really did a lot.
You wrote: "I think one way to judge a book is by how much one looks forward to getting back to it" -- That's a good rule of thumb, but for me, the stronger rule is: "I sometimes judge a book by how much I dread getting back to it-- because the characters are such real people that I care about them, and I'm scared something else bad will happen to them."
