Is it possible to explain why every single one of my books, despite being part of a series, when first published, is placed with another Jessica Jackson? I'm curious to know why another author, who writes in a genre that could hardly be more different than mine, is always selected instead of me? I can't make sense of it 🤔

Well, majority of your books is self-published via Amazon KDP.

Books published through KDP are usually auto-imported straight from the Amazon database by a bot - they are rarely added by actual GR librarians.

The bot is not able to distinguish between authors that publish under the same name, which means it automatically adds books to the default "Jessica Jackson" profile set with only one space between the name and the surname.

*We use additional spaces between the name and the surname to distinguish between authors that write under the same name. Your profile was set with three spaces between your name and your surname.

Now, if you wish to avoid the hassle of constantly asking for your books to be moved, you can either change your name on Amazon to match the one on Goodreads (three spaces between the name and the surname) - that way the bot would automatically add the books to you - or you can ask the Support to merge you into the default profile (with only one space).

Merging yourself to the default profile would make it easier for your books to be added straight to you, but since you're not the only Jessica Jackson on Goodreads, it would be only a matter of time for books by other Jessica Jacksons to be incorrectly added to your profile as well... The issue would remain, even though it would be slightly different.
