I was looking forward to reading a serious book on the topic as well - so disappointed.
Your comment promoted me to look at some of the reviews as I wondered why so many usually discerning goodreads readers were so keen on the book - but it looks like more than a few of the five star ones are fake!

Whoa. You have uncovered a scam.
These comments are among the dumbest I've seen. I was at his book launch events, and they were absolutely packed. Furthermore, many of the people blurbing it are writers themselves who were there and loved the book. I met them. I've known Turi for many years, and he is one of the most interesting, brilliant people I've ever met. We co-founded a company together, and I read drafts of the book before it was published and the final version. Everyone I've given it to loves it. But trolls will be trolls.
It's fine to dislike a book, to think the ideas are wrong, etc. But it takes a certain level of imagination to assume that there are scams and frauds because people don't share your views.
If no one likes the book, according to you, and only fake people like the book, how is it that the FT, the Spectator, the Telegraph and others all gave it great reviews?
