Completely agree. What this author did was the equivalent of making Clint Eastwood’s ‘The good, The Bad and The Ugly’ and turning it into ‘Broke Back Mountain’ halfway through. Here I was thinking I was watching a western then suddenly he’s getting his blown out in a completely unexpected way.
That's so disappointing to hear. I just finished and enjoyed book 1, but I had the feeling that he's going to have trouble following up on that.
