Douglas Lumsden Tom Keegan and Vivian Davis (aka Gunselle), the stars of Bop City Swing, are back, and, as a reader, I couldn't be happier about it. Cool cop Tom is as suave as ever as he matches wits with mobsters and femme fatales, and the worldly Vivian, well, to put it mildly, she gets put through the wringer, and then some! Good thing our glamorous assassin is as tough as a box of 20-penny nails.

Kansas City Breakdown (like Bop City Swing) is a loving tribute to the pulp crime novels of the 1940s and 1950s, retrofitted to appeal to a 21st-century reader. The result is a gritty, tense thriller that will keep you glued to the action until the final page.
