I've always been a history buff and I thought this sounded like a place I could find a lot of stories.

This was a trek that took strangers and made families out of them. They were with these people 24 hours a day for months and had to learn to depend on one another. How can you not become friends?

I think Opal was the most fun because I based her on my friends grandparents. She told me stories about her fiesty grandmother and I couldn't help but put her in a story.

Opal and Red were the most dear to me because they are based on the grandparents of a friend of mine.

I'd love to ask another question: Throughout the collection, the Oregon Trail presents many challenges and hardships. Which scene or chapter was the most emotional for you to write, and why does it stand out to you?

To be honest, there isn't any one scene that stands out more than any other. Each scene is necessary to tell the story.

It has been my pleasure to be here. I want to let your readers know that there are the first six books available individually or in two collections of three books each. My current projects are contemporary romances, usually billionaire romances and if your readers also read contemporary, I'd love to have them read them. If they are only historical western romance readers, I have sixty-six historical westerns for them to choose from. Thank you to all the readers that were here today.
