Benjamin Wuyts I accidentally published the wrong version of a book and can't seem to delete from my Goodreads myself. Could you perhaps delete it?

It has an ISBN number, and the record was imported by the Amazon bot. Furthermore, it is listed on Amazon with details matching the Goodreads record: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/999...

Sorry, it cannot be removed. What seems to be the issue with it?

Benjamin Wuyts I accidentally published it with several other versions in Dutch, whilst the books themselves are in English. The others were halted by the AI, but one got through and was published. I unpublished the book, replaced the isbn number and managed to publish it again, but now there are two copies. The old one and the correct one.

Was it available on Amazon for a short time, or was it never offered for sale? I don't see the other paperback copy you mentioned.

In the meantime, I've combined it with the Kindle edition because the cover, title, and blurb indicate they are editions of the same work. If they are not, let me know and I'll separate them.

Books with ISBNs cannot be deleted unless they were never available for sale. They also cannot be removed by librarians, only by Goodreads Staff. If the book was never available, please contact Goodreads Support and explain the situation. Librarians cannot delete books with ISBNs, as doing so could put our librarian privileges at risk.

Tami lucas wrote: "Hi Benjamin! It sounds like an easy mistake to make. Since the incorrect edition is no longer valid and you've already republished it with the correct ISBN, a Goodreads Librarian should be able to remove the duplicate or merge things as appropriate. Including links to both editions in your request will make it easier for them to identify which one should be kept. Hope it gets sorted out quickly!"

Just to clarify, Goodreads policy is that librarians cannot remove books with ISBNs. Requests like this have to be handled by Goodreads Support. Librarians can merge editions when appropriate, but not ISBN editions.

Now I see that it was combined. Well. At least it's gone from first sight. The book was online for only a day but was never sold. I already contacted Amazon and they said that they can't do anything. I could still see it under 'all books' but according to them I'm the only who can see that.

Goodreads is a catalog/database, and once a book has been published and made available for sale (even briefly), its ISBN/ASIN record remains in the system. It is not dependent on how long it was listed or whether it sold copies. This is Goodreads policy.
