Are you looking for an editor for your manuscript, but the cost is too prohibitive? As an author, I understand the high cost of editing and how it can impact your publishing budget. I also know firsthand the cost of publishing an unedited book; the reviews can be brutal, hurting your sales. But with everything else taking over your budget, it can often be very tempting to simply edit your own book (not recommended).
So, I thought about how I can help other authors like myself trying to put their best book forward in an increasingly competitive market. I took courses on editing and even joined the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA) and started offering editing services to indie authors. But once again the issue of cost comes up. It is hard to convince yourself to pay thousands of dollars for editing when you don’t know if the book will be profitable.
If you are looking for an editor who is very good, I can help. I will edit your novel (a full edit that comprises a dev edit, a copy edit, and a final proofread) for the flat rate of $500.
Why so affordable? For the following reasons;
• I have another source of income (a day job) so I can afford to take a pay cut.
• I want to build up my portfolio, and a review of my editing process will be highly appreciated. I am also looking for long-term clients/author friends.
• I wish someone had done it for me when I was first starting out.
The cost doesn’t mean that you will be getting substandard work. In fact, I can only take on up to 3 clients for this because I tend to be very thorough.

I would be VERY cautious about hiring this person. They have already been outed as a scammer and seem to be rebranding. In the above thread, they deleted their comments because they got outed offering problematic and racist advice and have been known to insult authors and not take their work seriously.
I also find it very interesting that they say they can take up to three clients in this post, but in other posts, they say they can take up to 1 or 2 clients. I also find it interesting how their last profile was way different from their current profile and they say they have a debut novel when they have written books before.

Please DON'T fall for this scam. I was happy to see them off of the beta reads Goodreads group and am very disappointed to see them back. Authors don’t deserve this stress again. I know it's the same person because their sample report is the EXACT same.
