Lynn Helton Active member Indie/SP authors, tell us about your books here!

In this topic, active members* can post whatever you want about your own books or books in which you have a vested interest (maybe you're a PA for that author, etc.), such as, your books’ news, a new release coming, sales/reduced pricing, free promotions, etc.
*See What's an Active Member & What are the Benefits of Being One?
If you post without meeting the "active" requirement, the post will be deleted — without notice or apology.

Don't create new topics, only add to this one please. Other self-promotion topics will be deleted — without notice or apology.

'Fly-by' posts by authors who drop an ad and never return are unwelcome here and will be deleted — without notice or apology.

Note that Goodreads Author Guidelines state:
"Don't join groups simply to promote your book. ...Joining multiple groups for the sole purpose of posting about your own book isn't permitted, and will simply irritate your target audience. Some groups do allow self-promotional content in specific threads. Be sure to review each group's rules..."
This is NOT a place to request reviews (and certainly no reciprocal reviews, which are against group policy). If you want reviews, participate in the group's reviewing setup (see The Review Section for the Book List and The Review Section for Rounds and The Review Section for Chains ).

Please note also there’s NO marketing of services, opportunities, or contests. Any posts of those types will be deleted — without notice or apology.

To help keep this topic as tidy as possible, admin/moderators will regularly weed out—without notice or apology—any repetitive posts (keeping the newest), posts by inactive members (inactive after a reasonable grace period), and any posts for sales/reduced pricing or free promotions that have ended.

There is a ship that sails the seas of many different worlds, magically crossing from one to the next. Transformation and upheaval follow in its wake. Its name is the Deliberia.

My fantasy series Wild Heritance (3 novels and 2 prequel novellas):
Duplicity of Power (Wild Heritance, #1) by S. Lynn Helton Power Awry (Wild Heritance, #2) by S. Lynn Helton Power Redeemed (Wild Heritance, #3) by S. Lynn Helton _ Trial Run (Wild Heritance, #0.5) by S. Lynn Helton Trial and Tribulation (Wild Heritance, #0.6) by S. Lynn Helton
The magic called Wild Power is said to be rare, elusive, and potent, turbulent and dangerous. It’s rumored that some people can inherit Wild Power. Even the gods covet it.

Rik Ty Hi! I write a line of projects where the "Thrill Kings" close down interdimensional Bleed Zones. One of my promotional ideas is little, tiny 100 word Bleed Zone stories - I'm going to try and post one here.

No, it won't post a jpeg - oh well.

Gary Stringer Not sure if I qualify as an active member having participated once, but I just thought I'd mention that Book 6 of my Salvation of Tempestria series is out now.

Shattered Lives

Shattered Lives by Gary Stringer

As the Guardians’ quest to find the dangerous, unstable fragments comes to a head, they have learnt that their greatest strength is not their magic but their unbreakable bonds of friendship. Their enemy knows it, too, and tries to divide and conquer.
The Guardians have a ridiculous radical plan to identify their mysterious enemy, but it hinges on a girl who has sold her soul and believes the White Guardian murdered her father.
To save the world, they must first save her soul.
But their greatest threat comes not from without but from within, and it is not the magic of enemies but the secrets of friends that have the power to shatter their lives.

Marco Santucci Hey there-
So far, I have written two books, both non- fiction real life stories. Mind blowing ones. I think it's easier to leave my website link!

Lynn Helton I've split out my children's books from my fantasy books, so my children's books are now under the pen name Lynn Helton.

Here are my children's picture books (current as of "last edited" date):

Bye-Bye Magpie by S. Lynn Helton Kids play in the sun. Meeting creatures that live near. Won’t you join the fun?

Min the Cat Who Guards the Castle by Lynn Helton When some of her family's prized belongings go missing, what is Min to do? After all, she is only a rather small cat.

The Mystery of the Spot by Lynn Helton Charlotte keeps finding a spot on her glasses. Where is the spot coming from? Can she solve the mystery?

message 13: by Eric (new)

Eric Gibson Press Heart to Join was accepted for a pilot program through Apple Books wherein it compiles and spits out an AI voiced audiobook in a couple months. Mine dropped last night. I'm impressed from a technological standpoint, but I personally found the reading a bit slow paced (especially for a comedy.) I'm being told, other than a few weird inflections where it's obviously read by a robot, it's pretty typical. I don't listen to audiobooks, so I'd love anyone's opinion who has time to listen to the sample.

Eric, I listened to some of the sample. I think for a screen reader/AI, it sounds fine. I read ebooks daily using the Alexa screen reader due to eyestrain and it sounds comparable.

Fwiw, I think most people change the speed on audiobooks to suit their personal preference anyway. I usually listen to mine at 2x speed, which drives my husband bananas. :)

message 15: by Ed (new)

Ed Morawski I also have a new book out:

Bird Streets Vampire Murders by Ed Morawski

(Another in my long list of weirdness)

message 16: by Eric (new)

Eric Gibson I've just released book two in my Traveler's Luck trilogy.
Poison Harbor (Traveler's Luck #2) by Eric Gibson
I took a month off from reviews to re-edit all three. A shout out to those reviewers who pointed out errors. It feels like you can never catch them all, but I'm sure going to try.

message 17: by Amber (new)

Amber Daulton Arresting Alan, my steamy romantic suspense novel, is now available.

A hacker, a federal agent, and a crime boss. The time has come to fight.
Computer technician Alan Harding is no saint, but his squeaky-clean image is unshakable in the eyes of his family and especially his young son. After he agrees to assist a drug lord and hack into a criminal database, he’s faced with an impossible challenge—keeping his hands and heart away from his sexy as sin bodyguard, DEA Special Agent Hannah Adler.
Hannah would rather go hand-to-hand with an assailant than go undercover as Alan’s girlfriend, but she’s determined to keep him safe and his illegal activities on the down-low. The handsome man and his adorable child, however, are more than she bargained for.
Once their enemies learn the truth and retaliate, they’ll have to race against the clock to save Alan’s son and bring a dangerous empire to its knees.

Gary Stringer Lynn wrote: "I've really liked all the covers for this series, but something about this one's got me saying "Wow! Oh wow!""

Thank you! It was tricky one to explain to my cover designer because it's kind of counter-intuitive. The background needed to be prominent, while the central figure disappears into the background making him difficult to see properly.
