Your review has been sitting with me for a long while, and it made me realize that I had not clarified some things for how the dreams / dream walking worked. The consent was clear in my head but you were absolutely right, I did not explicitly describe the consent for those scenes ( though it was in my head I failed to express it clearly) and I think that is super important.
I will, ( in part becauee i had anotehr editor going over it and in part specifically because of your review) be releasing a new updated version shortly. In the new updated version I have re-written a few lines around the dreams to make the concent more explicit.
Thank you for pointing it out so I could fix that- as Ava does care about concent and I also care and want that to come across. As an author I think its important to akbowledge when we need to fix something so thank you for helping shed the light on a part that I personally want to fix and until your review hadn't known/ realized needed fixing
As for the biting..in my vampire world Drinking humans is the ONLY option for vampires in world. That said, I recognize that shoudbe address in the triggers as more than just "vampire violence" so, I also plan on updating the triggers to include biting without permission for others like yourself who want ( or need ) that distinction.
I really appreciate you taking the time and while ( as an indie author) I am always hoping and yearning for those glorious 5 star reviews, I really appreciate your review and how it made me re-examine elements of my first novel.

My new editor gave a lot of notes and hopefully the new version is also slightly smoother in pacing and flow. I am hoping to better ballence between the flow-of- consciousness style narrative and a more readable / enjoyable style.
