John Doe And Biden and Pelosi are real Catholics?

message 2: by John (new)

John Doe A real Catholic follows the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Bible, not Transgenderism, Abortion, or Communism. Are you a real one?

message 3: by Socraticgadfly (new)

Socraticgadfly Hey, John Doe, there's both conservative and liberal cafeteria Catholics. Do you accept what the pope teaches against the death penalty? If not, shut up.

message 4: by Silvan (new)

Silvan Loher A real catholic does not lecture the pope on theology and claim the poep does not understand Catholic teaching, as this arrogant little piece of shit JD Vance has done! That's real hybris and haughtiness there!

message 5: by Socraticgadfly (new)

Socraticgadfly Brennan, seeing that you apparently have Trump Delusional Syndrome (the wingnut version of TDS), I know what Conservative Cafeteria Catholics are, so if you don't support papal teaching on the death penalty you shut up too.

message 6: by Diane (new)

Diane Silvan you obviously didn't read the book as he talks about his meetings with the pope and others - they talked in generalizations even acknowledging that the US has a right to border control - the media that you subscribe to likes to attack the right with lies - it works because people like you buy into it. Its why Soros picked the left to destroy this country

message 7: by AB (new)

AB Not fake…news media is fake. VP Vance shared his deep thoughts and his faith in God.

Yes, Soros is out to destroy the country. Spout lies like that, and nobody with a brain and critical thinking ability takes you seriously.

message 9: by Davy (new)

Davy Bennett I wouldn't mind reading this if it fell into my lap. I certainly would not take advice from anybody on either side of this chain.
I still have Hillbilly Elegy, unread on my shelf. The movie was ruff. A real rags to riches sory, and I do mean rags.
Not priority though until if and when he gets nominated to face Pretty Boy Newsom..

message 10: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Z. Excellent book 5/5

Your review is deeply misleading and supports a plausible argument that you can’t read.

message 11: by Kevin (new)

Kevin Z. And who are you to call a fake Catholic?

message 12: by Socraticgadfly (new)

Socraticgadfly Ahh, Kevin's so upset he left two comments.

As for me, I never ever use the phrase "Cafeteria Catholic" without either "conservative" or "liberal" in front because I know what Rome teaches about the death penalty as well as abortion and reproductive choice, and I know that it's just as ardently held.

So, Kevin, if you're Catholic, what DO you think about the death penalty? Do you uphold papal teaching?

message 13: by Ian (new)

Ian Bott I see Kevin's been busy scolding all the 1-star reviewers like naughty children. I mean, how dare anyone express their own contrary opinion?

message 14: by Tami (new)

Tami Baker I disagree. He has researched more than any Catholic I have known, and he certainly speaks from his experience, intellect and his heart. How can one discredit his opinions and his heartfelt exploration of Christ? He is more a Catholic than many I have seen in my 60 years of attending mass.

message 15: by Daniel (new)

Daniel Whitcomb Didn't read
