Fair - I agree that often with fantasy you have to just 'skim' some areas, I put in a reference to where he was living weirdly enough because an early reader asked about it, I could have put something in about his pay... and might when I revise the book if I can think of a way to mention it that doesn't detract from the story (but tbh there is only so much information you can cram into a book without it being a distraction imho).
