First of all, welcome back, Cynthia! We're so happy to have you here again. To begin our discussion, what inspired you to write The CEO, and what made you decide to combine a billionaire CEO, a marriage of convenience, and a secret baby into one heartfelt romance?

Our question for you today is: Was there a particular moment or scene in The CEO that made you smile, laugh, or become especially emotional while writing it? We'd love to hear the story behind that moment.

I wanted to write another contemporary series and since my first billionaire series was successful, I decided to go with billionaires again. A marriage of convenience is a very popular trope and I knew I wanted to do it but couldn't figure out how until baby Lily popped into my head. Then it was a foregone conclusion that he would need to marry to give his daughter the kind of life he wanted her to have.

I think that the moment that Adam first sees Lily and the moment of panic he has was one of the first scenes in my head when I started to write this. I wanted him to realize that he was missing family and that having Lily was his opportunity to right that wrong. I had to find a family for Adam. It was like seeing my brother and wanting the best for him. I know that sounds crazy but it is what it is.

I honestly can't think of a particular scene between them that was a favorite to write, because as a writer it is always the next scene that is my favorite.

I would love to learn about reading guides and listopia. I'm really not familiar with either.

Cynthia, The CEO beautifully combines romance, family, and second chances. If you could revisit one scene in the book and experience it through another character's eyes, which scene would you choose and whose perspective would you want to see?

I think that if Lily hadn't entered Adam's life he would have eventually found some contentment, but not the happiness he found with Lily and Bree.

I most definitely think everyone deserves a second or even a third chance at love. I don't believe you can truly be fulfilled without love in your life.

Cynthia, if you could sit down with Adam and Bree after the events of The CEO, what advice do you think they would give each other about love and family?
Was there a moment while writing The CEO when you realized that Adam and Bree truly belonged together?

I would explore when they become grandparents. I think after marriage and having your children, that grandparenthood is the next logical step.

Which character in The CEO surprised you the most while writing, and what did you discover about them that you didn't expect?

I think they might tell each other to always give love a chance. If they hadn't they wouldn't have found the true love they have for each other.

The epilogue is always my favorited scene to write and the one that makes me the happiest, because the couple has come through the adversity to come together as a family.

To be honest I don't know because I wrote the book as the characters told me to so there could not be any other choice.

I wanted to write another billionaire series and got the idea for The CEO as a sudden baby book. Then Bree came to me and I knew it had to be a friends to lovers book.
