Oh I was wondering where you were James!?!? LOL I thought you were mad at me or something because of my review of your book - but now I am glad that you liked it.
Most welcome - I think this book is the best I have read by you yet and it was extremely engrossing. It made my Summer 2026 a bit cooler than it actually was and somehow, I noticed that whenever I used to feel faint because of the heat - on that day itself I would pick up your book to read on my tablet! So it certainly was revitalizing and thrilling - especially that twist at the end regarding who was the actual killer or avenging angel, as it were.
‘Smilla's Sense of Snow’ is what your book reminded me of - but believe me - it was better than the former. Colder, horrifying, thrilling and suspenseful - and now I realize I should have written the same descriptives in my book review LMAO - will add that to the Amazon.in review of the book. I think now should be the time when it has been released - let me check that out early in the morning tomorrow.
Jo Nesbø has a much more refined Arctic Snow Thriller competitor in Letters in you, James. Looking forward to reading more of your stuff in the coming days and weeks. Berit Anna is a woman that will haunt my nightmares for a long time to come for sure! Congratulations. Keep in touch. :) :D <3

I’m delighted that the slow-burn structure worked for you, especially the long separate paths of Berit Anna and Jack before everything finally converges at Furuness. That sense of accumulated weather was very much what I hoped the book would create.
I’m also very glad the Arctic setting, the Saami spiritual elements, and the tension between human law and older ideas of balance came through for you. I wanted the supernatural side of the story to feel rooted in consequence rather than spectacle.
