Can I check with a moderator? > Likes and Comments

Hi... I have received an email purportedly from a moderator of this group (Kirstie). I am inundated with similar type of spam emails, but I was wondering if this might be genuine, in which case I would like to respond properly.
If one of the moderators could contact me and verify the bona fides of the email, I would be very grateful. Unfortunately GR did away with the ability to privately message people.

Thank you for checking here. Unfortunately, moderators do not have PM abilities either. No, I have not sent any emails to any authors. None of our moderators will ever contact anyone asking for payment of any kind. We are all volunteers and do not request payment for promoting work or anything like that. The spammers have been rampant since PMs were removed.

If you are receiving EMAIL from anyone on Goodreads, it's scam. Look at the sender's email address on the email header and report it to Goodreads, then delete and block.
