This honestly means more to me than I can put into words.
To hear that these characters felt real to you, that you laughed with them, cried with them, and saw how one tragedy can echo through generations, tells me the story landed exactly the way I hoped it would.
I never wanted The Car in White to just be a crime story. I wanted it to be about family, environment, grief, loyalty, addiction, and the way people become who they are. Sometimes through their own choices, and sometimes through things that happened long before they ever had a say.
And hearing that, after 64 years of reading, you would place it alongside the books you keep on your shelf is one of the greatest compliments I could ever receive.
Thank you for reading In Powder Blue first, for taking the journey into The Car in White, and for understanding what I was trying to say beneath all of it. I truly appreciate this more than you know.
