James, I'm glad you enjoyed this HR. It's always a treat to find a book to love. My husband is very fond of this author and strongly recommended her to me. Sadly, so far I've been mostly lukewarm toward her books. But, truth to tell, even with the magnificent Georgette Heyer, we don't always agree. For example, Venetia is one of his favorites and one of my least favorites (because I'm not convinced the MMC won't take advantage of Venetia's open invitation to cheat on her). However, we both avidly agree that Faro's Daughter is her absolute best romantic comedy. :)
Mimi Matthews always works for me, so glad you enjoyed this one! I feel like she's a real master at marriage of convenience in particular.

Confession: I've still not read a Georgette Heyer novel. Probably because they're 80ish years old? I know with a HR it shouldn't matter, but I'm still reluctant. What GH novel should a GH novice read?
