Ah, I read it after seeing your review haha. It was such a strange book: underdelivered on the crime/mystery aspect, had some cute romance but too much detail in the sex scenes, and the author's obsession with calling the younger character Junior/adolescent was so weird when he's 23. Like I get it, the main character is older but no need to make it weird I think.
I don't remember your review, did you have similar thoughts?
Yeah, similar. The idea was so intriguing but the execution was sloppy and as you say: lack of mystery. I really missed some kind of character development too.
Definitely, character development and some of the promised mystery would've made a huge difference.
