Hi Soliman, Congratulations on your new book! What a beautiful and important story you’ve written. I was really touched reading your description, especially the themes of family, faith, belonging, and what we owe the generations that come after us. I would truly love the opportunity to read Brothers in Service and would be honored to receive an advance copy. Wishing you so much success with your debut novel — congratulations again on this incredible accomplishment!

I was formerly a columnist for a daily newspaper in NJ about the Muslim-American perspective after the 9/11 attacks occurred, and also produced a documentary for PBS about Muslim Americans. These days I work as a trial attorney, but my debut novel, Brothers in Service, publishes September 1.
It follows one Muslim American family across the twenty-five years after September 11 — a grandfather who survives the towers, his twin sons who answer the aftermath in opposite ways, one through the law and one in uniform, and the grandson a generation later who forces a buried truth into the open. It's about faith, belonging, and what a family owes its children.
It's had two five-star advance reviews so far, including one from Reedsy Discovery. It's upmarket literary fiction — character-driven, not a thriller — and it deals with 9/11, the Iraq war, a shooting, and anti-Muslim violence.
If anyone would like a free advance copy, I'm glad to send one (EPUB, PDF, or print). No obligation — an honest review at publication is all I'd hope for. Just reply or message me.
And if the group ever reads it, I'd be happy to join a discussion by video.
Thank you for having me here.
